LG's new AKA (pronounced AW-kuh) phones weren't made for those who want the best devices their money can buy. No, they were designed for people -- lonely, lonely people with rich imaginations -- who name every single inanimate object they own, give them voices, preferences and stories to rival those of GoT characters. This collection even makes it easy for those users, since each of the four colors already has a name, a personality and a backstory. Seriously. Eggy the yellow phone, for instance, falls in love easily, LG's head of LTE product planning, Ramchan Woo, told CNET. Wooky the white phone is apparently a wannabe gangster who speaks in slang despite being cute, while Soul the blue phone loves music and beer. Finally, YoYo the pink phone is named as such, because (get ready to cringe) her love for Coke and hamburgers causes her weight to (ugh) yoyo -- not the best handset to get for a girl with serious insecurities.

As shown in the image above, the devices, weirdly, have front covers that envelope three-fourths of the screen and virtual eyes that match their personalities on the visible display. But if users want to pretend their device has multiple personality disorder, that can easily be arranged: just switch its cases, and the chip embedded in the back cover will change the phone's eyes and personality, as well. The phone's inner components are a lot less colorful, though: it runs Android KitKat on a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, has a 5-inch HD display, an 8-megapixel rear and a 2.1-megapixel front camera, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a microSD slot that accommodates cards up to 128GB in capacity.


Now here comes the bad news for potential buyers who don't live in Korea: these devices will only be available in LG's native country when they launch later today, with no clear plans for the US and other locations. Plus, these quirky phones don't come cheap, as each one costs 500,000 Korean won, or $460. Looks like everyone outside Korea will just have to let their imaginations run wild, after all.
